Well, it's nostalgia, isn't it? Surfin' with the Alien doesn't mean beans to the kids of today - and nor should it. No matter how much you try to persuade others, that what you like is better than the tripe they listen to - you will never acheive your aim. Matters of taste are simply beyond rational argument.
Except for Maroon 5 of course, who are shit.

Fantastic question, Jane. You have challenged my inner-music facist brilliantly. However, I believe the Kanye factor trumps the Adam Levine factor 3 to 1 and therefore "Heard 'Em Say" is a cool song.
It would take three Adam Levines to make a collaboration with Kanye West uncool. And thanks to international laws against cloning, this is simply not possible.
